On Sept. 11, 2001, 19 terrorists hijacked four planes, crashing them into U.S. targets. Nearly 3,000 people died in those attacks while hundreds of flights were forced to land abruptly in unexpected locations, like Gander, Nfld. But amid the tragedy there are also stories of kindness that still live on 25 years later. The Pay It Forward charity, started by one survivor, aims to spread the generosity he experienced in Newfoundland.
